October 7-11
What a fun week this week has been! I enjoy football as much as many of the students! The 2nd graders and up worked on vocabulary building (offense, defense, hand-off, fumble, passing, quarterback, receiver). We worked on the above listed skills using a variety of activities. It was a short week, but at that I saw some great skills and some great improvement for those who were new to football. We also had our first Free Choice day this week. Be sure to check-out who the prize winners were for this first time around by looking under the tab And The Winners Are! Our free choice day included: 4 square, wall ball, hula hoops, short ropes balloons and rackets, football target toss, scooters and stacking cups.
First graders will be working on a variety of games and activities to building listening skill and following directions as well as larger motor skills and teamwork activities. We played Thumbs Up Thumbs Down and Cone Up and Cone Down as well as the Thank You game last week.
